IS EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
Robinson
et al,. (2004) define employee engagement as “a positive attitude held by the
employee towards the organization and its value. An engaged employee is aware
of business context and works with colleagues to improve performance within the
job for the benefit of the organization. The organization must work to develop
and nurture engagement, which requires a two-way relationship between employer
and employee.”

These
are the major elements employees are expected to have on employee engagement.

2. Do
the right thing for the first time

4. Recognition
for their work and feed back

want to be provided with any opportunities to grow.

better to know a fellow employee is doing quality work.

like to have friends in the premise.
12. Employees
need employers to let them know periodically how they are progressing their
work.

1. Career:
- Promotions, rotations, significant assignments in career will increase
employee engagement.
2. Competence:
apply the learnings on real-life tasks to grow their competence.
3. Caring:
caring the employees through sensitivity, empathy, and spontaneity will
increase employee engagement.

This model explains the relationship between the engagement drivers and business outcomes by the middle man of: engagement outcomes.
So the employee engagement directly impact on the
customer satisfaction, profit of the business and operational process of the
firm.
CONCLUSION
So the employee engagement strategies mainly effect the
profit, business operations, customer satisfaction and wellness of the
employees.
